Cresson TB Sanatorium Remembered

Preservation Pennsylvania Award

Preservation Pennsylvania, a private statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people protect and preserve the historic places that matter to them, has chosen the Cresson Tuberculosis Sanatorium project to receive their 2014 Grassroots Advocacy Award.  It recognizes the work that all of you have contributed to documenting and preserving the history of the san.  It is truly "Grassroots" in that it has been accomplished by the contributions of many individuals without corporate sponsors or funds.  I think it is safe to say that all the personal stories, photos and documented history we have put together represent a unique project, which is still growing to this day.

The award was presented during a formal luncheon on Friday, September 26, 2014 at the Ellis Ballroom, Juniata College, 1700 Moore Street, Huntingdon, Pa.

My congratulations to you all, especially Dave Huber, Dot DeAngelo and Etta Albright,  for your contribution to this award.
