Cresson TB Sanatorium Remembered

65. Jane Palombine

Ruth Capo sent me the following material about her grandmother Jane Palombine, also known as Jane Palombini.  Jane was a patient at the Beaver County TB Sanatorium where she was known for making beautiful doll clothes.  She was later transferred to the Cresson San.  Upon her recovery from TB, she enrolled and graduated from the Cresson San Nursing Program.  After that she became a nurse at Woodville State Hospital in Carnegie, Pa.  Jane had memorabilia from her time at the sanatoriums, which was unfortunately destroyed in a house fire.  Jane died in 1977 at the age of 59.

Ruth would like any information you may have about her grandmother and can be contacted at ruthiebaby1020@yahoo.com  .
